December 05 2011

Well, unfortunately I do not have much more news on dad.  Over the past few days they were trying to get his blood thinner levels to be between 2 and 3 (whatever that means... :P ) and on Saturday they were at 1.9.  This just means that they can take him off the I.V. and put him solely on an oral form.  When I got to visit on Sunday they had him off of the I.V.  But he was and is still attached to the bag that is draining his abdomen.  Mom and Dad were hoping to have dad sent home yesterday, since his levels were in check, but when talking to the Doc and trying to get things settled, mom asked "what about the bag that is attached to him?"  The Doc said "Oh, he has a bag attached to him?"  She didn't even know that it was there.  So again, another bump in the road that keeps dad in the hospital until they get it figured out.  Ridiculous... there seems to be a big lack of communication between nurses and Docs and Visa Verse.  Hopefully they get it figured out today so they can go home today.  But you never know, something that seems simple to us, will for some reason take days for them.  So, now we wait...............................????  I want to say thank you to Aunt Helen, Uncle Henk, Henry and Howard for taking time out and coming to visit.  It means so much to the whole family and we really appreciate it.  Have a safe journey home.

Hope you come home soon Daddy and Opa, we love you and miss you....xoxo
